Warning! This Little Girl Lost Her Beautiful Hair After Using a Popular Hair Product

This is a story of an 11-year-old girl from Colorado, USA.

Her name is Eliana Lawrence. Two years ago, she had a terrible experience after using a hair product. Believe it or not, this little girl completely lost her hair. She started using the product after her 10th birthday, and on the third washing her beautiful red hair started falling out.

What’s more, because of the problem she had, her classmates in school were bullying her.

These conditions were unbearable to her, so she had to start homeschooling. Eliana also feared she had cancer.

The name of this popular product is Wen Hair Care. This product was created by the celebrity hairstylist Chaz Dean. The hair product was presented as natural, and even endorsed in a commercial by Brooke Shields.

Eliana is not the only one who suffered this traumatizing experience. Thousands of other people are suing Wen Hair Care for side effects such as hair loss, baldness, rashes, and itching.

The reasons why FDA has approved this product in the first place are not clear. More than 21, 000 people are demanding the FDA to reconsider their decision. However, instead of testing the safety of this product and issuing a product recall, the FDA declared that it doesn’t have the authority to do that on behalf of individual companies. They give an explanation that it is the companies obligation to recall their dangerous products themselves.

The little girl also showed the initiative to write to two Colorado senators. She wants to persuade them to support the Personal Care Safety Act. The FDA would have more power under the regulation when it comes to hair and ski products.

Therefore, pay close attention to the products you are buying. Make sure you always read the red labels on the products in order to prevent problems like this one.

Eliana still has bald places on her head. Some of her hair has grown back, but a lot of her follicles are permanently damaged.
