China is known for its rich culture and unique food.

But these days, their food market is facing some difficulties because it doesn’t meet the quality standards. Therefore, many people have started avoiding certain Chinese products.

Here’s a list of 10 Chinese banned products that you should avoid at all costs. The newest studies show that they contain dangerous ingredients, which can harm your health. They are also categorized as illegal and fake food products. So, you should think twice before buying food online as well.

1. Fake chicken eggs 

This food contains: Alginic Acid, potassium alum, gelatin, calcium chloride, water and synthetic color. Moreover, the eggshell is made of calcium carbonate. Consuming this dangerous food may cause mental confusion and dementia.

2. Walnuts filled with cement

In 2012, a Chinese man found broken pieces of cement in this food. The manufacturers produced these walnuts in order to gain more profit, as they weigh more than the organic ones.

3. Beef instead of pork 

The pork is cheaper in China, so no wonder that people are selling it instead of beef. On top of that, it contains harmful chemical compounds and a beef extract. The experts’ findings have revealed that this type of pork has been linked to poisoning, deformity, and even cancer.

4.Fake green peas 

Fake green peas was found in Hunan province, China, in 2005. The analysis showed that these peas were boiled and stayed hard after that. One of the workshops producing this food was closed, after making huge profits of it. Fake green peas are made of snow peas and soy beans and have artificial food coloring. This vegetable got its color by adding artificial green color, which is now banned from usage, because it may be one of the risk factors for developing cancer. It also inhibits the absorption of calcium in the body.

5. Baby formula 

The CBS News have reported that 50 people were accused of producing fake instant baby formula. Dozens of children in the Fuyang province, China, died as a consequence of it, China. Believe it or not, this baby formula contains chalk, which can cause serious health conditions. One of them is known as big head disease.

6. Industrial salt

Industrial salt is not food salt and people should not consume it at all. But, for the past 13 years, 788 tons of salt have been sold because this salt is very cheap. Industrial salt is not safe for your health and can affect both physical and mental health. It can also cause thyroid disorders and fertility problems.

7.Mud as black pepper

There was another news that one market supplier in Guangdong Province collected the local mud and sold it as black pepper. After he was captured, his excuse was that people cannot die from it.

8. Fake sweet potato noodles 

The Chinese authorities have found out that a facility in Zhongshan city, China, produced at least 5.5 tons of fake noodles. Many people were complaining about the strange taste, so this matter was examined thoroughly. It was concluded that they actually contain corn and industrial ink. This industrial ink gives them purple color and paraffin wax.

9. Fake ginseng 

Ginseng roots were boiled in sugar, which made them heavier than before. Wei Feng, a Chinese medical professional from the National Institute for Food and Drug Control (NIFDC) considers this as a serious problem, as boiling the roots means losing all of their medicinal properties. Feng also tested this ginseng and compared it with the natural one. The results showed that the natural ginseng had 20% sugar, while the fake one had 70% sugar.

10. Fake rice 

The authorities in China discovered that this fake rice is made of potatoes along with a synthetic resin. The rice was still hard after boiling and can cause serious health problems. If consumed regularly, the risk of developing cancer is high.
