The truth about Aspartame and its side effects

At this point, it is a well-known fact that artificial sweeteners like aspartame can greatly damage your health.

Aspartame is an artificial sweetener that can be found in many products under a different name.

How bad is Aspartame?

If you are a diabetic, or you just consume products like yogurt, chewable vitamins, sugarless candy, gum, diet soda, you should know that all contain aspartame.

Some studies suggest that when aspartame enters the body, it turns into phenylalanine, aspartic acid and methanol. This can block the amino acids and it can reduce the levels of serotonin and dopamine in the brain.

This compound is also associated with pediatric and adolescent migraines, and when ingested it breaks down and oxidizes into different tissues.

The FDA has revealed that Aspartame can be the cause to some severe health conditions like insomnia, memory loss, change in the heart rate, nausea, migraines and in some cases, even brain cancer.

Similar to methanol, aspartame can lead to deterioration of vision and even blindness.

The truth is that there are many health organizations that approved the use of Aspartame and some of them are: American Diabetic Association, World Health Organization, American Heart Association, US Food and Agriculture Organizations, and the FDA.
