Treat Gastritis and Heartburn With This Natural Remedy

Gastritis is a medical term for a group of conditions. 

To be more precise, gastritis is an inflammation or irritation of the lining of the stomach. It is caused by the same bacteria (Helicobacter pylorior H. pylori) that causes stomach ulcer. A certain injury, certain medications, and drinking too much alcohol, also contribute to development of this condition. 

Acute gastritis is manifested by a sudden attack and chronic arthritis symptoms occur over time. Gastritis is not very serious on its own, bu if left untreated it can cause serious health complications. Medications reduce the symptoms, but they don’t improve your overall health. 

The following remedies will help you treat and prevent gastrointestinal problems. All the ingredients are natural and have powerful antibacterial properties. 

Rice water 

Rice water is one of the most effective natural remedies to treat gastritis. 


  • 1 cup of rice 
  • 400 ml boiling water 

Add the rice to the water. Leave the mixture boil for 8 minutes. After that, remove it from heat. Strain it. Drink this natural remedy twice in a day. 


Flaxseed reduces acid reflux symptoms and relieve heartburn. 


  • 1 tablespoon of flaxseed 
  • a glass of water 

Add the flaxseed to the water. Leave the mixture sit for at least 2 hours at room temperature. Strain it. Your drink is ready. 


Include carrots in your daily diet. Carrot acts as powerful diuretic and helps you relieve heartburn and treat gastritis. And all you have to do is add carrots to your favorite meals. 

Fresh cabbage juice 

Cabbage is high in glutamine, which heals the lining of the stomach and reduces stomach inflammation. Drink 100 ml of cabbage juice every morning on an empty stomach to reduce abdominal discomfort. 

Avoid these foods during gastritis 

  • Avoid consuming foods like meat, meat products, dairy products and eggs. 
  • Cut down on fast food and processed foods like cans, industrial sauces, instant soups, and so on.
  • Don’t consume animal fats, refined oils and margarine.
  • Cut down on alcohol.
  • Reduce the intake of caffeine.
  • Quit smoking.
