Cheese is a fermented food made from cow’s milk, goat’s milk, sheep’s milk, buffalo’s milk and even camel’s milk.

At first, you may think that making homemade cheese is complicated, but believe it or not you will need a few minutes. You can use the base recipe and then add different spices if you like your cheese flavored.
How to prepare it?
First, curdle the milk. Then, add acids such as lemon or vinegar. In this way, the milk sugars will become lactic acid.
- 1 l of milk (pasteurized)
- Lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 100 ml natural yogurt
- Salt, pepper, ground pepper or other spices of your choice to taste
- 2 tbsp. of cream
Make sure that the milk is not boxed. Also, don’t use long life milk.
First, pour the milk in a steel pot. Put it over low heat. Once it boils, remove it from heat. Cover the container and leave it like that for 20 minutes. Now, add the lemon juice, yogurt, and cream. Mix the ingredients well. Then, put the mixture back on heat. Continue stirring until the milk forms clumps and separates from the liquid whey.
Now, add the salt, pepper and other spices of your choice. Then, remove the serum. After that, transfer the mixture into a cheese colander to drain the serum. You can use a gauze for that too. Once the whey is completely drained, you will get a creamy paste. You should knead it a bit in order to form its shape. If you want your cheese to have a rich flavor, sprinkle a few of your favorite spices on your table, spread the cheese on it and roll it. Then, put the cheese in a plastic container. Seal it hermetically and store it in the fridge.
