Your energy and your entire day depend on what type of food you eat first thing in the morning. So, you should know what makes an appropriate breakfast. If a certain food is healthy, it doesn’t mean that you can eat it on an empty stomach.

Fruits juices high in sugar

Coffee and tea 

Many people drink coffee or tea first thing in the morning. Coffee and tea contain caffeine which increases the stomach acidity and causes gastrointestinal problems.

Tomatoes 

People who experience acid reflux or stomach ulcers should avoid eating tomatoes on an empty stomach. Tomatoes contain tannic acid which increases your acidity levels. This food makes the symptoms of stomach ulcer even worse.

Soda drinks 

These drinks contain preservatives which can damage the mucous membranes and reduce the blood flow. Also, soda drinks contain carbon dioxide which might cause digestive disorders.

Pastry

Croissants and other pastries are made of a layered yeast-leavened dough. This food is an irritant to the stomach lining and causes flatulence.
