There was a study that was published in the American Journal of Gastroenterology, and reported that the activated charcoal can prevent flatulence and can also relieve cramps and bloating, that can appear as a result of internal gasses.
It will also absorb the cholesterol that can be found in the gastrointestinal tract. Other studies suggest that it can reduce the bad cholesterol levels by 42%, while increasing the levels of good cholesterol by 8%.
The scientists needed just one month in order to see the benefits of the activated charcoal. They also claim that it will reduce the nitrogen waste. Older people that are suffering from kidney diseases, can experience its benefits if they use activated charcoal in a combination with a low-protein diet.
It will also absorb the toxins in the liver and kidneys, which will prevent toxin overload.
How to use activated charcoal?
Activated charcoal comes in different forms like liquid, tabled and powder forms. Many products for detoxification have activated charcoal as their main ingredient.
Add one teaspoon of activated charcoal in a glass of water and then stir the mixture. You can drink this combination multiple times every day.
