It is very important to choose the right food as your first meal in the morning.

The following foods and drinks can be bad for your stomach, so you should never eat them on an empty stomach.

Drinking tea or coffee

The first thing we do as soon as we get up, is grabbing a cup of coffee. We think that that’s the best way to boost our energy, but we are completely wrong. Drinking coffee on an empty stomach increases stomach acids, which leads to heartburn and poor digestion. Also, it increases stress and anxiety. Drinking tea on an empty stomach reduces bile and affects your digestive system. It also suppresses your appetite.

Tomatoes 

Tomatoes are a rich source of vitamins, antioxidants, and soluble components. But, these components combine with gastric acid when consumed on an empty stomach, can cause constipation. For people who experience ulcers or acid reflux, consuming tomatoes on an empty stomach can be very dangerous.

Sweetened beverages 

Sweetened beverages and carbonated drinks raise your blood sugar levels and cause a spike in insulin.

Spicy foods 

Spicy foods irritate your digestive tract. These foods can also increase the production of stomach acid.

Pears
