Detox programs offer numerous health benefits, and the soup cleanse that we are going to talk about today, will boost your digestive and immune system, improve the function of your gut, liver, lymphatic system, kidneys and skin.

It is highly recommended that you follow this program for one day, and then after a 30 days break, do a 3-day soup cleanse.

The principles of the detox:

  • Prepare a vegetable, bone or miso broth and spice it up with cinnamon, garlic, turmeric, ginger or cumin.
  • You can add veggies like kale, onions, zucchini, leeks, spinach, leeks or carrots.
  • Add proteins – nuts, lentils, beans etc.
  • Add starchy veggies like potatoes, acorn squash, beets and parsnips.
  • Add olive, coconut, ghee or avocado oil.

Recipe 1: Ginger and carrot soup


  • Two pounds of chopped carrots
  • Two chopped and peeled onions
  • Six cups of vegetable or bone broth
  • Three tbsp. of fresh ginger
  • Three chopped garlic cloves
  • One cup of coconut milk
  • Black pepper, onion powder and sea salt to enhance the taste
  • Two tbsp. of coconut oil or ghee
  • Two tablespoons of collagen powder or plain protein (optional)

How to prepare it:

Combine the carrots, garlic, ginger and the broth in a pain and boil them and leave them to simmer. Sauté the onions in a pan and then add the gee. Cook the ingredients until you get a mixture that has a texture like caramel. After that, blend the broth and onions for couple of minutes and then add the coconut milk and the seasonings.

Recipe 2: Red lentil soup


  • Quarter cup of olive oil, coconut oil or ghee
  • Two peeled and chopped sweet potatoes
  • One peeled and chopped apple
  • One small, chopped white onion
  • Two chopped and peeled carrots
  • Half a cup of rinsed red lentils
  • Half a teaspoon of ground cumin
  • Half a tsp. of chili powder
  • Half a tsp. of paprika
  • Four and a half cups of vegetable or bone broth
  • Peeled and minced, one-inch ginger root
  • Black pepper and sea salt
  • You can optionally add coconut cream for topping

How to prepare it:

Take a pot and then warm up the olive oil on medium heat, then add the potatoes, onion, apple and carrots. Cook the ingredients for ten minutes and then add the lentils, chili powder paprika, ginger, lentils, broth, and then boil them. Leave the mixture to simmer for 30 minutes and then season the soup with coconut cream.

Recipe 3: Broccoli detox soup


  • Two and a half cups of broccoli florets
  • Three finely diced, celery stalks
  • One finely diced onion
  • One cup of spinach or kale
  • Two finely chopped and peeled carrots
  • Two cups of bone or vegetable broth
  • Half a teaspoon of sea salt
  • Freshly squeezed juice from half a lemon
  • Two tablespoons of coconut oil
  • Two tablespoons of collagen (optional)

How to prepare it:

Heat the coconut oil in a pot and then add the celery, broccoli and the onion. Stir and cook for five minutes and add the broth. Leave the soup to simmer for five minutes.
