Recommended foods for people of this blood type are fruits, beans, organic and fresh whole grains and legumes.
- Blood type B
People that have this blood type are generally capable of adapting to changeable environments and have the genetic potential for increased malleability. These people should not consume foods like corn, sesame seeds, tomatoes, buckwheat, chicken, wheat, lentils and peanuts because these foods can have an impact on their metabolism.
They are recommended to eat eggs, low-fat dairy, vegetables, and meat.
- Blood type AB
People with this blood type have a balanced life, and they are lovable people. According to Dr. D’Adamo, these people generally have low stomach acid, and they love meat.
Because they have low stomach acids, their stomach will not metabolize the meat after they ingest it, and it will store fats. This is a problem that can easily be fixed by eating small amounts of meat. They can eat seafood, tofu, green veggies, and dairy, and should avoid caffeine, alcohol and smoked and cured meats.
- Blood type O
These individuals can ingest many kinds of foods that are high in fat and protein. According to Dr. D’Adamo, the reason why they can do this is that they have high stomach acids. He recommends that these individuals eat fish, veggies, meat, and poultry, but they should avoid carbs, especially grains.
If an individual is suffering from a chronic condition like diabetes, they are recommended to consume high amounts of protein. These people, however, are people that are suffering from diabetes that may be recommended to avoid dairy or chicken, which would interfere with the treatment of this disease.
The American Diabetes Association states that you should never exclude major food groups. Although weight loss can have a positive impact on your health, you always need to follow the American Heart Association (AHA) guideline for consuming low salt and low-fat foods.
