This popular drink is called the ”golden milk” for a reason. The main compound found in turmeric is curcumin (polyphenol) , which has 150 different therapeutic properties. It has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-cancer potential.

Black pepper contains piperine, an alkaloid that promotes curcumin’s bioavailability. So, turmeric and black pepper are good combination as well.
Step 1 – Prepare the turmeric paste
- 1/4 cup turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup purified water
Put these ingredients in a small saucepan. Stir them well. Then, increase heat to medium high. Stir the mixture until you get a thick paste. The cooking of this paste does not require much time, but make sure you stir the mixture constantly.

In a saucepan, add the coconut milk, the coconut oil, and the turmeric paste. Set the temperature to medium heat. Stir the mixture, but don’t boil it. Allow the mixture to cool down for a few minutes. Then, add the honey.
