Blood clotting, or coagulation is a necessary process that prevents you from losing too much blood after an injury or cut.

The following symptoms indicate that you might have a dangerous blood clot:

Leg pain

Blood clot causes swelling and pain similar to muscle spasm.

Breathing difficulty is one of the symptoms which indicate blood clotting in your lungs. This health problem can be accompanied by dizziness and heart palpitations.

You feel chest pain while deep breathing

You should never ignore this problem, as it is a symptom which could indicate other health problems as well. As your blood flow to the heart muscle is reduced, your heart musle is not getting enough oxygen, so your breathing is impaired.

Red streaks on your skin

Bruises are a sign of blood clot and we have all seen them, but if those red streaks are running along the length of your veins and you feel them warm to the touch, then you should consult your doctor.

Swelling in the limb
