When you should stop eating dairy products?
Dairy products are widely consumed around the world, although they are gas-producing foods which cause bloating and poor digestion.
Milk is a rich source of calcium and protein which are necessary elements for the proper functioning of the body. It is especially important for children for its growth and development, but as we grow older we should reduce the intake of milk or completely remove it from our diet. Many people can develop lactose intolerance as the aging process starts. Also, the amount of renin, an enzyme that breaks protein from the milk decreases with age and leads to digestive problems.
If you remove milk from your diet, you will experience the following body changes.
Dartmouth Medical School stated that milk contains hormones that stimulate the glands of the skin. By removing this dairy product from your diet, you will improve the appearance of your skin and prevent acne breakouts.
The statistics states that 75% of the world’s population is lactose intolerant. The reason why this happens is because we are genetically programmed to stop producing the enzyme which breaks down lactose after our childhood period. Lactose intolerance is manifested by inflammation, abdominal pain, gas, diarrhea, and rumbling sounds in your stomach.
Change in body weight
Dairy products, especially milk, can be a major factor in your body weight. Losing or gaining weight depends on what type of food you will choose instead of cheese. Reduce the intake of carbohydrates to prevent weight gain.
If milk is one of your favorite foods, but you are experiencing lactose intolerance symptoms, eliminate it to see whether you will feel better. If so, you can substitute milk with coconut, almond, or rice milk.
