A nosebleed is not usually a sign of something serious and can be treated at home.
However, nose bleeding can sometimes be scary and severe. It most commonly occurs in one nostril, but if the bleeding is heavy, it can fill up the nostril on the affected nostril and pour into the other one. Heavy nose bleeding causes bleeding from both sides.
How to stop the bleeding fast? All you have to do is pinch the nose. In this way, you will put pressure to the point of bleeding in the nasal septum. This technique will help you stop the blood flow instantly.
You should never tilt the head back. Leaning your head back during a nosebleed causes the blood to run backwards, which leads to nausea, vomiting and head tilted forward.
So, follow these instructions carefully to stop a bloody nose.
- First, pinch the soft part of your nose, which is located just below the bony part.
- Stay in this position for 5 minutes.
- Make sure you breathe through the mouth.
- Don’t blow on the nose.
You can also stop a nose bleed with onions. Onions are high in vitamin C which prevents blood clotting. Bioflavonoids found in onions are powerful antioxidants that strengthen and protect blood vessels.
Cut the onions into thick slices. Then, press one slice and inhale. The bleeding will stop after a few minutes.
Extra tip: Prepare fresh onion juice. Apply 2-3 drops of if by using a dropper. Put this natural solution in both nostrils.
