5 Essential Oils That Stop Allergies


Allergies can be very unpleasant and lead to very uncomfortable and painful symptoms.

Rather than relying on medications, your should try natural remedies instead. Essential oils can be very helpful when it comes to treating allergies.

Lavender oil, lemon oil, peppermint oil, basil oil, and tea tree oil reduce inflammation, improve the immune system, and clear the clogged sinuses.

Lavender oil 

This oil has powerful anti-inflammatory potential. It is described as a natural antihistamine, so it relieves allergy symptoms.

When you feel the first allergy symptoms, rub several drops of lavender oil between the palms. Hold them close to your nostrils. Then, take a deep breath. Make sure you carry several cotton balls with lavender oil with you for seasonal allergies.

Lemon oil 

This oil strengthens the lymphatic system and helps the body against breathing problems. It improves the immune system and prevents the development of bacteria. Diffuse it at home to prevent small particles in the air from passing through your nose or mouth.

In a glass of water, add 1-2 drops of lemon essential oil. Drink it to maintain the pH balance in your body. Add lemon oil to the laundry detergent you usually use to clean the curtains, sheets, carpets and furniture.

Peppermint oil 

This oil effectively treats allergic rhinitis and bronchial asthma. It also relieves colds, coughs, and sinusitis. To treat sinuses and a sore throat, diffuse 5 drops of peppermint oil. To soothe inflammation, take 1-2 drops of pure peppermint oil. Use it internally.

Basil oil 

The potent anti-inflammatory potential of basil essential oil destroys bacteria and viruses.

To reduce inflammation, add 1 drop of basil oil to your meal. You can add it to soups or salad dressings.

Tea tree oil 

Tea tree oil effectively destroys pathogens in the air that cause allergies. All you have to do is diffuse it at your home. It also has a calming effect on irritated skin. Pour 2-3 drops of tea tree oil to a clean cotton ball and apply it on your skin to treat rashes. If you have sensitive skin, dilute it with some carrier oil like coconut oil.
